Latest Yard Sale Find/Redo

I needed a shelf for the girls' toys, I found this $5 gem at a yard sale on Saturday. I sanded, primed, painted, and used fabric for the background. Now we have a lovely shelf!

Day 29: Black and white

Instead of finding something that was black and white, I made this photo of Ellie on the "big girl swing" black and white.

Day 28: Flower

A flower on my deck.

Day 27: From a distance

This is what the sky looked like around 11:30 am as Hurricane Irene heads our way. This afternoon and tonight there is sure to be some excitement, but hopefully it doesn't leave us without power for too long!

Day 26: Close-up

This is the close-up of a handmade hat that Heather brought back from Bolivia.

Day 25: Something pink

Fallen petals of the Crape Myrtle trees just after a heavy rain.

Day 21: Faceless Self Portrait

The mirror was a yard sale find last summer. It's at Ellie's height in our family room so she can check for crumbs and ice cream smeared on her face.

Day 20: Bokeh

I wasn't sure what bokeh was until a few days ago. I tried my best to get the bokeh effect in the background of this picture.

Day 17: Technology

Technology is great, whenever I miss my sister and her family I have access to photos at my fingertips! Love you, Liennie!

Day 16: Long Exposure

I haven't taken many long exposure photos before, but I think I will try more after taking a few tonight. This is outside our front door in the evening. If I am in the right place at night, I have a few ideas for long exposure photos now.

Day 15: Silhouette

Ok, OBVIOUSLY this picture was not taken today. I didn't get a chance to take a good one today but I had this one that I took when I was pregnant with Avery.

Day 12: Sunset

Sunset as we were leaving the Outer Banks heading home.

Day 11: Something blue

Sunset at Jockey's Ridge Park in Nags Head, North Carolina. The largest sand dunes on the east coast. There were blue and white hand-gliders jumping off the dunes.

Day 10: Childhood memory

This one was tough since we are away. I could only think of things to take pictures of back home.
As a child I remember being dressed like my big sister! Here are my girls dressed alike.

Day 9: Someone you love

I am lucky to have many loves in my life. Here is little Avery Lou!

Day 8: Bad Habit

Soda. Today's drink of choice, Cheerwine since we are in North Carolina. I also have a habit (not so bad) of turning the tab to the right, it helps me know which drink is mine.

Btw- All of this week's posts are photos from an iPhone since I didn't bring my computer on vacation.

Day 7: Fruit

Lemon says "howdy."

Day 6: Low angle

Looking up from the ground at the hammock at our beach house. I still haven't laid on it yet, maybe tomorrow.

Day 5: From a high angle

"Lotta's chilly, Mommy!" said Ellie, as she put the jacket, mittens and boots on her puzzle.

Day 3: Clouds

It was overcast all morning and afternoon, by 7 pm the clouds broke up just a little so I could get something other than just gray skies.

Day 2: What you wore today

Went to the park with the family today. I chased Ellie around in my flowery skirt, black tank and black sequin flip-flops. It was HOT out.

Day 1: Self-portrait

This was taken VERY last minute and with little effort. Hopefully this means my photos will get progressively better and more creative. I took this one around 9pm, camera on AUTO (which I hate using), and with the flash (which I also hate using). Didn't realize I had so many freckles.

30 Day Photography Challenge

My sister and I are going to try to do this photography challenge. I'm going to post my pictures here for fun.
